Areas of Clinical Interest
Peter’s clinical interests include:
- bone health and bone-related risk
- metabolic health and insulin resistance
- cardiovascular risk and lipid metabolism
- digestive health and gut function
- thyroid disorders, including hypothyroidism and autoimmune conditions
- male hormonal health
- early cardiometabolic risk identification, including hypertension, dyslipidaemia and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
- nutritional support during grief, prolonged stress and emotionally demanding periods of life
Peter has a particular interest in the clinical interpretation of blood tests and has undertaken further training in analysing a broad range of pathology markers. This supports the identification of meaningful physiological change in clinical context, including patterns that may emerge before overt clinical dysfunction becomes apparent.
Further study in nutrient pharmacokinetics informs Peter’s approach to supplementation in practice, with dosing guided by clinical markers, individual physiology and response over time.
Peter also recognises that health is shaped not only by physiology, but by life itself. Periods of grief, caregiving, chronic stress and emotional strain can place a significant physiological burden on the body, often influencing appetite, digestion, sleep, energy metabolism and nutritional status. Where appropriate, he works with individuals to support physiology through these demanding periods using thoughtful, evidence-based nutritional strategies tailored to the individual’s circumstances.
Private Health Rebates
Consultations may be eligible for rebates through a number of Australian private health funds, depending on your level of cover. Peter is a recognised provider with several major insurers, including Medibank, AHM, NIB and affiliated funds, ARHG group funds, and Australian Unity.
As inclusions vary between policies, confirmation with your insurer is recommended.
Make Appointment
Peter provides individualised, evidence-based care focused on clear and implementable strategies. Consultations are designed to translate clinical findings into practical nutrition and lifestyle interventions that can be meaningfully applied in everyday life.
Where appropriate, this may include functional testing, nutritional compounding and targeted supplementation.

About
Peter is a degree-qualified clinical nutritionist with a clinical focus on bone health, metabolic health, cardiovascular risk and digestive function. His work centres on identifying and addressing early physiological change, often before it is reflected in standard diagnostic thresholds, using a physiology-led and evidence-based approach. He also has a particular interest in supporting individuals through periods of grief, prolonged stress and significant life strain, recognising the profound ways these experiences can affect physiology, nutritional status and overall wellbeing.
Clinical Approach
Peter’s approach is grounded in the understanding that many chronic conditions develop gradually and often without obvious early symptoms. Changes in insulin regulation, lipid metabolism and bone turnover can occur well before they are reflected in standard diagnostic thresholds.
Rather than relying on symptoms alone, he focuses on interpreting clinical markers in context to identify meaningful physiological patterns. This supports a more proactive and preventative model of care, helping to identify early risk while recognising that meaningful improvements can be made at any stage.
This approach may include:
- interpreting metabolic and cardiovascular markers in clinical context, rather than in isolation
- identifying early shifts in insulin regulation and metabolic health
- assessing bone-related risk factors and relevant markers where appropriate
- using pathology to guide targeted nutrition and lifestyle strategies
Clinical decisions are guided by relevant, well-interpreted information, applied in context to support proportionate, meaningful and personalised intervention.
